The European Cultural Foundation (ECF) has been founded in Geneva in 1954by the Swiss philosopher,
Denis de Rougemont. ECF is based in Amsterdam
since 1960. At
the heart of all ECF's work is the notion that cultural cooperation and artistic
activities, which cross boundaries, are important factors in the Europe's integration.

The year 2010 has proclaimed by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland
as
the Year of Fryderyk Chopin. The celebrations of the 200th
anniversary
of the composer's birth are going to be marked with
concerts,
educational projects, exhibitions, revitalization projects of places
relating to Fryderyk Chopin. The Year of Fryderyk Chopin has also started in Ukraine.
