Founded in June 1973, the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute
(HURI) serves as focal point for graduate and undergraduate
students, fellows and associates pursuing research in Ukrainian
language, literature and history as well as in anthropology, archaeology, art history, economics, politics and other disciplines.

The USA-Ukraine Foundation (USUF) is unprofitable organization established in 1991 to facilitate democratic development,
encourage free market reforms and enhance human rights in Ukraine. The
Foundation creates and sustains channels of communication between the United States and Ukraine for the purpose of building peace and prosperity through shared democratic values.

The Shevchenko Scientific Society (SSS) is an organization of learned men and
women dedicated to scholarship. It is the oldest Ukrainian academy of arts
and sciences whose activities have been the mainstay of Ukrainian cultural
life for over the century. Founded in 1873 in Lviv, Ukraine, the
Society has been liquidated by the Soviet regime in 1939. It has
been reestablished in 1947, Western Europe and the United States, in 1989
in Ukraine. The headquarters of the Society in the US is located in New York
City. Besides offices and lecture halls, it contains specialized library, depository of archives pertaining to Ukraine and the Ukrainian diaspora
and art collection.

Electronic Library of Ukrainian Literature provides free access to
electronic texts of Ukrainian literature to all readers, particularly to
students outside Ukraine, where texts are often difficult to obtain. If funding allows, the library will grow to include
translations and author biographies, bibliographies, and other secondary
materials pertinent to Ukrainian literature, in both English and
Ukrainian.
