The Visegrad Group, also known as the "Visegrad
Four" or simply "V4", reflects the efforts of countries of the
Central European region to work together in fields of common
interest within all-European integration. The Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia are interested in sharing cultural and intellectual values, in esteeming diverse religious traditions that they wish to preserve and strengthen.
Projects financed within Small & Standard Grants should fall within one
of the following six categories: cultural cooperation, scientific
exchange and research, education, youth exchange, cross border cooperation and promotion of tourism.
The projects can, however, entail any field of activity (e.g. ecology,
social affairs, media etc).
The aim of the
Green Visegrad concept is to promote sustainable economic growth in
industry combined with the reduction of energy consumption and CO2 emission. Proposed projects should be able to offer solutions for
economic development with energy efficiency improvements. Creation of
virtual training classes, where participants from V4
countries and external partners would share knowledge, is
envisioned.
